100th Post

Today’s post is the 100th post I’ve written on my blog. I’m really proud of how it’s coming along and how I’ve started gathering a following!

When I started this blog in April, I was pretty new to blogging and knew next to nothing. All I knew is that I wanted to have a central place to gather all the book reviews I was writing. I’m a part of two authors’ review crews, plus belonging to a Facebook group for reviewing and being a member of NetGalley. I still post my reviews on Amazon, Goodreads, Barnes and Noble, and occasionally on Google Play, but now they can all be found in one place, here on my blog, as well.  Since starting this blog, I have also joined Great Escapes Virtual Book Tours coordinated by Lori over at Escape with Dollycas into a Good Book.

I’m still learning about blogging, both from other bloggers and from tips/tricks articles I’ve found online (such as recently switching from a left-side menu to a right-side menu to make it easier for those with visual impairments to get to the content of the blog). I’m still trying to figure out what a good “post per week” number is for me. I do have a full-time job and some mental health issues, so finding a good balance has been a challenge for me. I tried doing “new release Tuesdays” to help with that, but that seemed to be more of a stress-inducer than a help, so while I may post one occasionally, those are not happening as much anymore. I’m also still tweaking how I write my reviews. I pick up tips and formatting ideas from other blogs I visit.

Thanks for joining me on this journey through books and life! Here’s to another 100+ posts!

    1. Thank you! I know what you mean. I’m learning more and more every day from other bloggers and research and working with different themes. I love my current theme and yet I look at some other blogs and I’m just like “oh man, I like that”. It’s all a learning process. 🙂
